WHAT IS SRO?

In SRO technology, a diluted saline water stream is injected in the permeate/ product side of the membrane to reduce the osmotic pressure barrier thereby reducing the osmotic pressure required for pushing higher salinity feed across the membrane surface.

More than 70% recoveries for input TDS of 40000 ppm

Very energy efficient close to 30-40% of conventional system

Ideal to enhances the over all recoveries and thus reduces the overall capex and opex of sea water/ surface water/waste water treatment

ABOUT THE TECHNOLOGY

SRO Technology works using a combination of proprietary membrane in a step-wise concentration process where a calculated brine recirculation within the system maintains efficient osmotic delta in each array of membrane system.

Permeate stream that was blended with saline stream towards the product side of the membrane to increase the osmotic differential pressure is take out of the system and processed through a different set of membranes to produce clean water of TDS less than 500 mg/l. Reject form this stage is re-circulated back to the brine production stage for reconcentration thus working in a closed looped system.
